Q. I’ve seen your band perform at Ameristar, Harrah’s, Harry’s West and Fast Eddie’s. You guys sounded great and you had the crowd going. Do you play privates and receptions?
A. Of course we do!! With BOOM you get the best of both worlds. We can provide the perfect setting for truly elegant music and yet when it’s time for energetic music, switch gears to provide music for your guests to dance the night away. We play music for all of your guests.
Q. How do I book BOOM?
A. It’s very easy. You can call 314-703-3375 or contact us at www.boomstl.com. We will send you two contracts. Sign both contracts and mail one back with a deposit of $400.00 to hold your date. Then prepare your self for one unforgettable evening for you and your guests!
Q.Can we choose our own songs and if a song is not on your list will you learn it?
A. Feel free to choose your own songs. Since our playlist has so many selections we recommend that you tell us the style of music you would like for us to play. If you feel strongly about a couple of songs, make a note of what you want us to play and what you don’t want us to play. We are constantly learning new songs so we would be happy to learn any song that you request that is not on our list.
Q. How many breaks do you take a night and do you provide CD’s while on break?
A. We will take a break near the end of the dinner hour and another break of 15-20 minutes during the remaining 2 or 3 hour reception. Our mission is to keep your party going and to keep all of your guests entertained. Our breaks will not interfere with this process. We will provide our CD’s or you may have us play you own CD’s through our sound system.
Q. Do you handle the emceeing for the night?
A. Yes. No problem. We will announce the wedding party, the blessing, the 1st dance, the father-daughter dance, the mother-son dance, the bouquet/garter toss, the cutting of the cake or whatever request you may have. To ensure the best presentation we ask that you e-mail us an itinerary of the events for the evening including the names of those in the wedding party at least 2 weeks prior to your event.
Q.How do you handle outdoor receptions and are there any special needs?
A. We play outdoor functions all of the time such as wedding receptions, private parties and concert series. We need a proper electric source (be careful of generators), and adequate protection in case of rain in order to protect your guests and the band (electric equipment, microphone, speakers, etc…)
Q.We are having our reception in a small venue; can you handle the challenge of space and volume?
A. We have several set-up plans to accommodate any situation whether it be large or small. We have done hundreds of private parties and receptions and we have the ability and experience to adapt to your needs. We understand that your guests want to be able to talk freely during dinner and be able to dance later in the evening without the band being too loud.
Q.We loved your demo package, especially your CD. Can we come out and see BOOM live at a wedding reception or private party?
A. By all means you are more than welcome to see for yourself. Just call or e-mail us and we will provide the details for you. Once there, we are confident that you will find a room full of people having the time of their lives.
Q.Do you provide music for cocktail/dinner hours?
A.Yes, we do. In fact we offer several different packages: trio, duo or solo piano. We have excellent musicians who can play any style of music you describe. We can play broadway, jazz standards, smooth jazz or classical. Whatever your taste we’ve got it covered.
